Creative Wool Embroidery
by Joan Waters
Creative Wool Embroidery present a mix of designs with a freshness that will appeal to everyone.
The delicate roses on the chatelaine will satisfy the traditionalist, while the stunning sunflowers on the blanket and cushion are for the embroiderer looking for something different. All the projects, which include coat-hanger covers, lingerie bags and knee rugs, a door stop, pin cushion, needle book and chatelaine, are accompanies by matching greeting cards. The Author, Joan Waters, has included several of her special tone on tone designs, as well as many that highlight her unusual and infallible color sense.
Whether you are an expert or a beginner, this book will enable you to produce many unique and beautiful items of lasting value.
The patterns have been designed to be completed in a 2 ply crewel wool, we would recommend Appleton 2 Ply Crewel Wool, however the designs could just as easily be completed in either
DMC Stranded Cotton or Anchor Stranded Cotton depending on the finished use of your project.
