Embroidery Hoops provide an even, firm base and even fabric tension so you can lay your needlework stitches neatly and evenly.
Round Embroidery Hoops are available in many sizes and are used to keep fabric taut while working embroidery, cross stitch or other forms of needlework. They allow you to work without the fabric moving as it is securely in the hoop. Now you can create a beautiful and even stitches with the help of this embroidery hoop. Lightweight and durable, embroidery hoops are the perfect choice for the sewing and needlework enthusiast.
You may have seen hoops that have binding on them and wondered why one or both pieces of the hoop have a wrapping around them. My Classroom Teachers used to recommend binding your hoops with bias binding (or strips of fabric cut on the cross) which will help to keep your embroidery fabric keep an even tension. Pre Binding at least the inside hoop (and possibly the outside hoop) will also help to cushion the embroidery fabric and more importantly, help to protect your embroidery and/or stitches.

You may have seen hoops that have binding on them and wondered why one or both pieces of the hoop have a wrapping. Keeping even tension is one reason why, but another benefit is that the binding helps cushion the embroidery fabric and minimizes damaging creases. It also provides cushioning which is helpful when you need to move your hoop around on a larger piece and the hoop will go over completed stitches. In these situations, wrapping both hoops is usually a good idea to protect your work from being damaged or spoilt.
